lsquare I also suggest that you ask someone to send money to your wx and ap accounts (just y1 each). This seemingly helped one of my friends get up and running. He no longer has a Chinese phone number or bank account, but he managed to successfully navigate their bureaucracies (as noted previously，ap isn't nearly as strict as wx, but getting wx working is worth it if you plan on relying on foreign cards).
