Filing multiple EU261 for same trip
was hoping someone could shed some light on how to file for compensation in the following case:
wife and I had the following booking (all legs in C):
Dec 21st LH419 (IAD - FRA) 18:05 - 07:45
Dec 22nd LH802 (FRA - ARN) 11:05 - 13:15
on the morning of the 21st we get an email that LH419 is delayed and expected to depart at 20:30. The app informs us that we will not make our connection in FRA. I call LH and they rebook us on LH806 at 13:25.
LH419 ends up being further delayed and leaves IAD at 22:10 arriving FRA 11:14
LH806 has several delays: first the crew is late, then the catering is late, at this point they've lost their slot time and the next slot they're given is 15:00, a few minutes later the flight is cancelled.
We are rebooked:
Dec 22nd LH1016 (FRA - BRU) 16:25 - 17:25
Dec 22nd SN2297 (BRU - ARN) 20:40 - 22:55
SN2297 is delayed, leaves BRU on Dec 23rd at 00:01 arriving ARN 02:17
In whole we are delayed 13 hours 2 minutes from our original booking.
If I am reading EU261 correctly I should be able to claim compensation for:
LH419 departing more than 4 hours late
LH806 being cancelled
SN2297 departing more than 2 hours late
On the LH website I can file for compensation but I can only pick one reason. So do I file 3 compensation requests? Will it allow that or lock me out once I've filed one saying there is already one filed for that booking / ticket?
Once we arrived in ARN we then had to get a cab to make it to our hotel (family was originally going to pick us up, but not at 03:30), is that a separate "right to care" filing? We had no other expenses, LH gave us a €15 voucher for snacks in FRA for the LH806 cancellation, and a €15 and a €20 voucher for LH419 being late.
