I was delighted to receive my Air Canada settlement offer in time for Christmas.

. My TPAC was 2 hours and 15 minutes delayed This resulted in a missed *A connection purchased on the same ticket as the first flight. The replacement flight was next day. I was supposed to overnight after flight 2, and 12 hours later connect to flight 3, which was a seperate non*A ticket. The 1st delay resulted in me eating the prepaid hotel reservation and having to purchase new tickets for flight 3 as my arrival had me miss the initial carrier flight and I couldn't rebook in a timely manner, and had to book with a new carrier. Total expenses incurred were approx. $1100.
I filed my initial request and 10 days later was declined. Yes, AC had rebooked me on another connection and covered my hotel cost for the first delay period I replied and identified the connecting flight that was impacted and reminded AC that my 2nd *A replacement connecting flight delivered me late by 20 hours. 72 hours later, AC has offered $1000. I am pleased to see that the airline settled quickly and consider the offer fair.
