That seems strange. I have to say I was a bit perturbed at their lack of assistance.
They didn't even address whether the 5,000 point compensation was due to the denial of the Suite Upgrade Award or having to move from the original downgraded room to another at 11pm.

What is odd is none of their Suite Awards have been pulled for this stay where it failed or in Buenos Aires.
As mentioned above your first contact should be the hotel’s GM.

On the plus side you didn’t lose a TSU it sounds like.
