I wonder whether AS also have phantom availability on AA flights like it does on other partners?
I often see AA Saver award availability in Mileage Plan when Saver isn't available in AAdvantage. The same award is available in AAdvantage, though, however, at a higher dynamic rate.

To confirm availability, I booked FRA-DFW in J for April. No issues, completed without error, PNR provided & seats selected at AA.

The same award in AAdvantage was 93K.

It would appear that AA is making Saver space available to partners, but not to their own elites.

I guess it shouldn't be much of a concern to AAdvantage Elites, though, since AA Miles are so cheap and easy to amass, apparently only a penny a piece and much cheaper than Mileage Plan miles.

I could have also booked FRA-DFW-LAX-OGG for the same miles, just additional taxes & fees. DFW-LAX would be in Main, but LAX-OGG in F.

The all J AA award would be over 300K AAdvantage Miles.... lol
