I did one of those quick trips into the city years ago for a short visit to the British Museum. It was all going great until I got back to Paddington and the HEX was out of operation due to a fire. Getting to the Piccadilly line in rush hour and then the horribly cramped tube ride to LHR and I just made my flight back to Toronto. Never again and especially on Xmas Eve.
