No hotels are picking up customers in Singapore because it is a city, and there are plenty of options to get to the destination - there is no such kind of thing as 'hotel shuttle' at the airport.
Your options are:
- Taxi/grab/gojek: should cost SGD $20-$30 depending on time/rush hour. Taxis are adding $8 surcharge for departure
- MRT: you need to change from green line at the airport to blue line (Downtown line) and then to yellow line (Circle line). Get out at Esplanade station exit F. Google maps will give you detailed instructions.
I know the OP said he will take a cab, but your MRT suggestion is one option and gets you kind of closest, but also convoluted with all the changes. Much easier to take Green line to City Hall and go out and follow the underground signs to Circle Line Esplanade station which will lead you to the South Beach area with the JW right there (5-10 mins all connected). It can also be walked above ground but may be a bit hot / sweaty.
