OP, you wont have access in Rome on an Economy (Euro Traveller) reservation unless you hold frequent flyer status with Oneworld (see above) but you will be eligible in London during your transit stop prior to boarding the flight to the US as that flight is in Business (Club World).
While the lounge in Rome is one of BA's better Euro lounges, not having access isn't a big issue. It's a nice enough terminal with plenty of seating, shopping and food & beverage outlets after security near to the departure gates.
If any of your family in Club Europe hold Oneworld status (Emerald or Sapphire level) they would be able to guest in a +1.
This wouldn't be possible by just holding a Club Europe ticket however
