Avios booking website down
Hey all,
So I’ve been trying to book a few segments via avíos for a few days now. On Wednesday, I attempted to make an avíos booking via BA.com, everything was proceeding as usual, however after the last step, the website displayed an error message. The avíos weren’t debited, and no ticket was created, but the taxes and fees were charged to my card. Called BA, and they said it’s a website issue, no ticket has been issued, but the taxes and fees will be returned. Then this morning tried the same thing, and the same exact thing happened. Again called BA, same response, but this time they said they could make the booking over the phone, however, one of the flights I initially tried to book didn’t have availability anymore (even though the website says it still has availability). So told the customer service rep to book at least one of the segements, he took all my info/etc, and even created a PNR, but then said the payment processor isn’t working and someone will call you back. So looks like a reservation was created, but not ticket was issued. Anyone else having these issues?
