Based on the videos, the menus were somewhere between a proper long-haul service and the medium-haul service so maybe special arrangements are/were in place for this route.
It is also clear that MLE was not return catered when there was the CMB stop; however, if the previous poster got the "exact" same breakfast on CMB-IST with LHR-IST, then it could be something to do with CMB if that route is return catered.
I 100% remember that CMB-MLE had a light meal because, when the dinner arrived on MLE-IST, I was almost full and since I don’t like to leave food on my plate, I almost burst because of eating too much
