Hi, Last year I printed out the information for four travel certificates from the United website. They total $1500 and show an expiration date of 12/31/23. Two show my first and last name. The other two show my first and middle name tied together and my last name. These later two do not show up in my account. I contacted United through chat and was told those certificates expired on May 2, 2021. Of course, I disagreed as I have them in hand showing a 12/31/23 expiration date. I was told to file a complaint online which I did but when I received confirmation of the complaint the email said it would take 14-21 days to get a response. Obviously that would be too late to get this resolved and to use the certificates. Does anyone know how to quickly resolve this issue? Also, am I correct in my understanding that if I book a future refundable fare and then cancel it more than 24 hours after booking that I will be issued a FFC with a 2024 expiration date? I'm also not sure if I need to wait until after 12/31/23 to cancel to ensure my refund doesn't go back to the original certificate with the 12/31/23 expiration date. Thanks for any help.
