There was a similar report a few months back and the OP confirmed JAL were accommodating once at the desk. If I remember well, they thought it may have helped to be HBO and that the OPs partner was Japanese but I would still fancy your chances.
Yes we are HBO and going to Osaka, but it’s a peak travel day - and in theory our J ticket is non changeable. Can anyone see loads from hnd to itm on 23/12 after 1pm.
BA.com says we leave 1230 and arrive 1056hrs instead of 0730. Text from BA says “sorry due to late aircraft change” so guessing that allows compensation.
