Integrating all the information in this thread, perhaps CX is going for:
1. Premium heavy (existing regional) — intelligent misuse, like NRT/SIN etc. which have always been getting 350/77W same as now
2. Premium heavy (new regional) — B-HY*, like PEK/PVG same as when KA existed
3. Leisure — 330s with reconfigured 24J, like DPS/KUL/NGO, mixed with 32Q when needed
4. Others — 330s with reconfigured 24J, like BKK/ICN/TPE mixed with 773 with 42J when needed
I think that is a very good guess as to the likely approach going forward. I do a lot of long haul connecting on to short haul out of HKG and for short haul up to 2.5 hours I find the recliners okay and there is plenty worse out there. But I also acknowledge I benefit from CX’s non-ex HKG pricing.
