Once I am downgraded to MVP, K class isn't eligible for instant upgrades for MVPs. But since the fare was purchased as instant upgrade eligible with K class advertised as eligible, will they honor it when/if U class becomes available? Or will they kick me off of the waitlist? If they are going to kick me off the waitlist then I'll burn a GGU, but I don't want to pay a ton more for a Y or B fare to be eligible for instant upgrade as MVP).

For example, if you purchase a K class on 12/31/23 for a 1/31/24 flight and drop to MVP status on 1/1/24, when the system automatically sweeps existing reservations to update elite status and waitlists, you’ll be moved from the upgrade waitlist as MVP Gold on a K fare to the MVP request queue. Then, at T-48 hours you will be moved onto and sorted on the upgrade waitlist. 🤙🏻🍹
