It's hard to say BA sometimes releases last minutes Avios reward availability. As at the moment you are ticketed in Y then you are going to come back in Y. January is a busy peak season for the Maldives so I would have my hopes low. I would check every midnight, around 10am and early afternoon too as BA rev management can do adjustments.
