There is really no reason to select EQNs early to requalify, and plenty of risk that things could change that could make you regret your choice in hindsight. Wait until January 2nd and make the selection then once you know exactly how many EQNs you earned in 2023. Really only worth picking EQNs if you end at 70-74 nights (or 95-99 nights with enough spend for ambassador).
Generally true but what if the five EQNs would bring you to >= 75 nights & titanium status which would increase your earn rate for remaining stays for the rest of the year? This could be a good move if you have a lot of nights and or hotel spend before the end of the year.
