This seems like the most appropriate forum to put this question in... I hope you agree (or move it). I haven't seen a thread which puts this info together, though definitely some good discussion here for instance.

Given the enormous differences in taxes/charges incurred by choosing the 'wrong' or 'right' airport or country or airline, how about a list of the good, the bad, and the ugly for landing/departing/transiting. A tough call to make it coherent, I guess, but limiting it to the major charges which vary between choice of port/carrier could be useful.

A reference online is here in AUS but isn't comprehensive. Haven't seen mention of other online tools...
