Good to know. First time staying at a Hilton in Japan!

And I picked the most remote place....or almost. I guess the only one further from a major city is Miyako Island?

[researching....]

Although 15 (Kyu-Karuizawa) and 22 (Toyama) strike me as relatively remote. Never heard of those places. But it turns out Toyama is a million people - so that ain't "remote," just my lack of knowing. Karuizawa has 20k people...and it says online - popular with Tokyoites..lined with urban hipster places, < 2 hrs from Tokyo by train or car...so yeah, Sesoko is definitely more remote and "away from mass Japanese civilization." No train, and not much on Sesoko Island itself. Though it doesn't take long to drive (1 hr or so) there from Central Okinawa or Naha.

...just looking at Miyako, the Hilton is right next to the main city of 50k souls < 10 minutes. So...other then the remoteness of Miyako itself, I think Sesoko could be "the furthest away" psychologically - though it's close (25-30 minutes) to Nago - 60k, but I didn't feel like it was close to any city / town in particular.
