The Mint NEOs were originally meant for JFK-LAX, and the original plan from what I heard was that they'd be on that route exclusively. They've made it onto others seemingly randomly, and now of course they are used TATL since they scheduled too many flights without having the fleet to operate it. It's too bad since it's such an inconsistent experience, especially in coach. A cold meal on a TATL flight? No thanks!
As more LRs are delivered, we will see these planes come back to domestic and non-TATL service. Or they'll just keep expanding the network and using them across the pond. Ready, fire, aim
