Travelled to US from YYZ T1 late last week for the first time since pre-COVID. Nexus terminal simply took my picture and told me to keep moving along to officer. Got into a line of 5 people waiting for an officer - he simply looked at the next person in line, called out their name and told them to move along. Recent experiences at YYZ T3 required a more in-depth conversation with an agent who looked at passport etc., but in either case, took less than a minute.
Once past the officer at T1, noticed a very small waiting area for those needing to do the second part of their Nexus interview with US CBP. I thought this required going into secondary, but they appeared to have one officer solely doing these out in the open. There were about 10 people waiting - but not sure how long it took them to be seen.
