If I book a prive rate for a regular, base level room and immediately (within 1 hour) use a TSU to upgrade to a standard suite, will my Prive benefits allow me to confirm an upgrade to the next level suite?

Does the travel advisor have to specifically request the upgrade or is that done automatically? And once the Prive upgrade is done, do I see the room change on my upcoming stays?
It’s different with every property and even every advisor. Some may be willing to go the extra mile some are uncomfortable asking for a further upgrade considering you booked a base room and got a suite via TSU.

You can ask your advisor all of this prior to booking to confirm if you want to book through them or another agent.

As stated below even if you do get a further upgrade it likely won’t show on your end.

When I used Prive’ for our Anniversary and used a TSU the agent said the property let them know that because it was our Anniversary AND we have used a TSU AND booked via Prive’ then IF the next level suite was available at check in we could receive it. So this was not an immediate guarantee ahead of time it was a see if it’s available at check in. That was at a Park Hyatt.

I would agree with this.
