Really very easy. The cabin crew happily brought hot water and milk. It may be a bit more difficult in Y, at least the way I brew my coffee. I use a really fine grind so there's a lot of resistance when plunging. That works well on the middle seat table in Club Europe but would be more difficult on the standard tray table. Most people use a coarser grind though so it may not be an issue. You might note on the photo that I did bring a little non-slip mat to go under the cup to make things a bit easier/safer. I wouldn't attempt it with a Club Europe mug as the receiving container as they have a narrow base and aren't stable enough for plunging.

I didn't grind the coffee on the plane (that's probably the ultimate upgrade) but had coffee I ground just before the flight in measured portions in tiny snap lid containers which I found at Waitrose;


The coffee wasn't quite as hot as I would like but in future I may get the Aeropress flow control filter cap which would mean I can give my Keep Cup to the FA to fill with hot water - which both prewarms the cup and keeps the water hot before pouring it over the grounds. I could then pour the water into the Aeropress without it leaking out. That would also allow the use of a coarser grind without coffee escaping until plunged. I'm also considering the Aeropress Go specifically for in flight use because its smaller form factor makes it much easier to carry around.


On this flight I had a number of factors in my favour. I was in Club Europe and there was only one other passenger in the cabin - and he was sleeping. It didn't really require a lot of work from the cabin crew though and I'll certainly try it on a fuller flight.
