I'm wondering if you can help me, and apologies if this question has been asked before. I have had a look around but couldn't find anything.
I'm travelling on the following this Friday/Saturday:
Fri 22/12 MAN-CPH SK 542 19:15-22:05
Sat 23/12 CPH-BKK TG 951 11:45-06:20(+1)
Both flights are in J with the first being a reward booking and the second revenue. They are on separate PNR's. What are the chances of getting the check in agent at MAN to interline 1 bag straight through to BKK? Does anyone have experience of this? I understand they are both *A members (at least at the moment) but I have had multiple answers from both SAS and Thai reps on if they can/can't do this.
I know I can just turn up, suck it and see but would love to have the benefit of anyone's knowledge/experience.
Cheers
First of, I think you have gotten some timings mixed up on TG951. The STD is 13:50 local time and STA is as you've written 06:20(+1) local time.
Secondly, I have only had success on interlining bags on two PNR's in CPH and OSL when one of the legs was on SK metal, but I've also experienced that it wasn't possible. I've not had any luck from airports where SK is not using its own ground personal.
Thirdly, there might also be something in the rules on bagage regarding the overnight layover.
I think you best bet is to show up and ask. I wouldn't count on the gate agent being able to do it, but fingers crossed for you
