I don't know if the deal is still there but I signed up for Chase Freedom Unlimited that included a doubling of all points earned in the first 12 months. So maybe a baseline for value of $nnn,nnn spend is that. $100K spend gets 300K Ultimate Rewards points , or almost the equivalent of 20 Cat 1-4 awards. Of course you miss the EQN. Only issue is that you only accrue the bonus after the 12 month period, not monthly. This is undoubtedly a one time thing, but does have some value.
