Please stop calling them taxes. The cost amounts that cause sticker shock and these threads are BA’s practice of passing on its on YQ to award tickets. Yes, there are taxes. And they are high out of the UK. But the YQ issue - largely unique to BA (VS copied, and now so has DL on UK routes only) - is purely BA’s choice. I have told multiple people at BA that it is a reason I have decreased my premium class spend.
