I’m not sure, but I kind of remember that if you book a room using points you can cancel at anytime without penalty. I am thinking maybe that is with Marriott and not Hilton? I’m diamond with Hilton and I’d like to secure a room but not positive I need it. Would I lose my 80,000 points if I was outside the cancellation window? Appreciate the help. Thank you!
Points bookings usually have the cancellation deadline of the most flexible cash booking the property in question offers. Note that if you no-show, the card guaranteeing the reservation will typically be charged the cash rate.
