Another data point for those interested:
  • Dec 9th: Purchased $100 Delta gift card from Target (with 5% RedCard discount)
  • Dec 9th: Booked $308 flight using gift card, charging $208 to Amex Platinum (showed as Additional Collection on website)
  • Dec 11th: Cancelled flight, received eCredit
  • Dec 18th: Full $200 credit posted to Amex account
