The meals are so awful I doubt this will have much impact. For many years now I have been ordering food to go at the airport which I then eat on the plane regardless of class of service. They used to have lunch salads that were edible on midcons but not sure if those have disappeared. It says a lot that I get a better meal for free on Aeroflot (a tuna sub) than I can even purchase on most US carriers. And of course LH and AF are far better.

Kirby needs to overhaul the menu or he can expect revenue to decline in competitive markets.

I do feel sorry for the harried families and kettles who board a 6hr flight and have no idea they will be served slop or nothing at all except crappo snack boxes. Not to mention the people rushing between connections.
