Removing self/family from CPU list?

Traveling with Mrs. IMissthe747, a seat-occupying child, and a lap infant. I am 1K wife is gold. We have 3 seats together in E+.

Is there a way to remove ourselves from the upgrade list for this reservation, or at least to ensure that the system does not automatically split our reservation at checkin? The leg in question is a IAH-SJO flight, eligible for CPU and from previous experience it's likely at least one of us would clear.

I know some say it's not 'automatic,' and others say it doesn't happen when children are on the PNR... but it's definitely happened to us before where one of us gets upgraded, the family is then split, and we have to deal with either a gate agent or people on the plane to get back together with the kids.

If possible, we'd prefer to just not even have a chance of getting upgraded on this one particular PNR. Is there a way?
