Out of curiosity, when did you make your booking? Was it before June 2023? The Iberostar website says no IHG benefits or points will be given to reservations made prior to June 2023. I made a reservation in Mar 2023 for a Dec 2023 stay. IHG’s website says I can earn IHG points if the “
reservation date” is after June 28, 2023. Not sure if “reservation date” means date of stay, or date the booking was made. Thank you!

Platinum Elite was acknowledged at check-in.
Room was apparently upgraded from "Garden View" to "Sea View".
Welcome amenity was offered as a bar/bill credit or 600 points - but given this is an All Inclusive hotel was advised by the receptionist the there was not much point in having bar/bill credit (unless I wanted to buy premium drinks). So points chosen.
Welcome points credited within 2 hours of check-in. - Still waiting for points/nights for the stay (but left Sunday, it's now Wednesday) so I will give it a few more days.
On the morning of the departure day, I decided late checkout would be useful. Went and spoke to reception, they checked the room on the computer and at it was granted with smile and a "that is not a problem with your status".
Will report back with information regarding nights and points credit and if I need to chase them.
