I have a J award for a domestic flight as part of an international booking using UA miles. I have a friend in IST who would like to come with me and I want to use my miles to book this ticket but running into this problem.

I have seen an option to transfer miles from my account to my friend but unable to see the cost because it wants a TK account number before it even shows you the calculation. My friend is not yet a member of Miles and Smiles.

Is there a fee to transfer from one TK account to another? The cost in J is currently 4400 with the promo.
