And while the armrests maybe weren't quite as wide, 2-5-2 was United's standard economy layout for 772s and DC-10s, not far off from the 2-4-2 of today's Premium Plus. As a person of long femur, I am contractually obligated to state that pitch does not equal leg room. I will stand with my original statement that it felt similar.
