Turkish Airlines has been given more routes to Australia - not a bad option to fly from BER - IST, but if they fly nonstop to eg SYD/MEL as they're considering it'll be pretty solid as a onestop.

The Qatar product is the only one stop alternative to the east and the produt is good but DOH is a pretty stale experience compounded by their lounges often being full.
