As there is much confusion about where and what concerning the current affairs about the Club Intercontinental pool,
allow me to give you some insights.

So what are the amenities and why is this Club Intercontinental pool so special that it is excluded from per IHG T&C from those with the annual lounge pass?

There are only 2 suites + 2 Club Intercontinental rooms in the whole hotel that offer this


Direct access to Club Intercontinental pool from the ground floor Bukit and Uluwatu suite only.
And 2 Club Intercontinental rooms.
.... but only if the owner is not blocking these suites for private use



What makes the appeal for others .....?


The romantic honeymoon pavillion
with its own fountain pool
tucked aside from the rest of the area .....
my brother said it is such inducing to have a more than expected romantic canoodle with his GF

During Club Intercontinental pool operating hours,
all non alcoholic drinks are complimentary .....

however outside the designated evening cocktail hour of 17 - 19 H, all alcoholic drinks are at nominal price charged

but the 17-19 H designated Club Intercontinental evening drinks presentation,
makes the Club Intercontinental pool the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely sunset with a alcoholic drink in hand
or to enjoy the start of your evening



And for those feeling peckish .... in something filling

You may also order via staff from the Jimbaran Grdens food menu to be enjoyed at the Club Intercontinental pool
This comes at nominal cost per order and will be brought to you



Eating won't pose a problem because...


Club Intercontinental pool has outdoor tables that are suitable for having a bite ....
i bet you were wondering if you needed to juggle plates if sitting on the lounger




And this is the set up to accomodate during evening happy hour .... please divert your gaze from my sister's two piece bikini that's drying there......


And this is what my inlaws ordered for their lunch:

Tuna Sambal Matah 160.000 IDR
Grilled tuna, sweet eggplant, long beans, cucumbers, and tomatoes, all tossed in a vibrant Balinese raw sambal dressing.

Vegetable Samosa 115.000 IDR
Deep-fried vegetable samosas served with a mesclun salad and fresh raita.

Thai Beef Salad 180.000 IDR
Sliced beef, fresh tomatoes, red onion, fresh mint leaves, cilantro, cucumbers, and a tantalizing chili coriander dressing.

And together with the daytime free flow of non-alcoholic drinks :
the Club Intercontinental pool feels like geriatric pensionado Boca Raton x Alicante
(no noisy b*ats, this season yet, there were some kids but well behaved)

So the good news about the Club Intercontinental pool:

* Mother and S/O's parents are happily parked here in sheer bliss, truely now enjoying their pensionado
* My great aunts twice divorced see an interesting opportunity not to be chatted up by strange men

* Sister says she is cancelling all her future family trips to her usual Conrad Bali hotel

* Brother says a much cheaper romantic experience than going to the Maldives

So my opnion : Club Intercontinental pool is much better deal and value and makes the family reunion a succes!

The current situation for eligability:
- for those that are revenue booked in Club Intercontinental rooms/suites
- auto granted for those in specialty suites (the "named" suites)
- for others willing to pay seperate Club Intercontinental upsell
* eligability will be checked via the daily updated manifest

PS: i did not smooch free access for all 9 rooms, i just booked honestly the club rooms outright and emailed to pay the upsell to Club Intercontinental for all my booked award rooms
