I know a really nice wine room at the Disneyland Hotel.

Sorry for the plug.
I was at the NAMM concert two [?] years ago. It was a tribute to Elton John, and was great. 15 artists came out and each did an Elton John song. These were quality folks like: Ray Charles, Jewel, Norah Jones, Michael McDonald, Brian McKnight, Dave Matthews, Diana Krall, and too many others to remember. However, Brian Wilson was horrible. Later Elton John came out and did ten songs of his own. Like a 25 song concert this thing was! Tickets were free, courtesy of Mitsubishi. Saw Elton again just last Oct in Las Vegas.

Now for the hotel question. My wife took me to a PeopleSoft convention there a year or so ago. We stayed at the Hilton, it is the better option I think. The Marriott is right at the doorstep to the convention hall and is a zoo as far as I am concerned with a ton of people coming in and out. In these enviroments there are always a lot of drunk hallway loitering that will keep you from getting a good night's sleep if you are there in work mode, as opposed to party mode.

Speaking of concerts and Anaheim conventions, PeopleSoft sponsored Huey Lewis [and the News?] as the entertainment while we were there, another great concert, but this one was at Disneyland, not at the Pond like the NAMM concert.

Oh, and Mr. Stox is a good restaurant in the area. The bread is to die for...see http://www.mrstox.com/
