"Even Platinum?" I'm gonna guess that you're not quite up to speed on the IHG program. IHG Diamond comes with full breakfast and I've done better on upgrades with IHG this year than with Marriott. Not to mention the lounge pass and suite upgrade milestones. IMO, IHG is now far preferable to Marriott in terms of benefits, but with a garbage BRG and limited footprint of desirable hotels.
