First CS flight last month I tried this. Easy enough. Not sure if anyone got an eyeful they shouldn't have done, but I was much happier avoiding the bathroom floor (I don't use disposable slippers for environmental reasons so previously had the extra joy of taking off and putting back on my shoes).
