The Select card was the only one of my four Chase cards offering the nuts.com discount currently.
Even better, my Select had a 20% discount for Holiday Inn Express Stays with a cap of $40 that I used in November that wasn't offered on the Premier card. While I've seen no reports of Select card closures for nonuse, it's doesn't hurt to put some minor spending on any card you have, especially one like the Select which offers two good benefits: the 10% discount on points (a rebate of even 15,000 points means you've offset the annual fee) as well as the free night.

When the Premier came out, I saw so many posts here on FB about cancelling the Select, an approach, paraphrasing the Capital One Bank commercials, I've characterized as "the stupidest decision in the history of decisions."
