I got a $75 DL TCV in the mail today for troubles over the holidays. Went online to see whether it would save me anything on a planned Presidents' day trip to BUD over my NW fare -- $546. It may, I found a DL trip using AF for about half the flights. Problem is the TCV says valid only on Delta/Delta Connection/SONG. I called and asked if it was good on DL coded flights and the agent went away and came back asking "It doesn't say DL code-share?" (or something like that). Her advice -- take it to my local ticket office (ONT airport) and see whether they take it for a codeshare. Of course, this will probably also add $10 to the cost of the ticket because I can't ticket it online or by phone. (Hmmm, I think I just talked myself out of using it for this flight -- it will only same me $10.)
Any ideas about other approaches?
