EF can help to see the reason for the delay as well. There are a lot of new CSR's. There are also a lot of us on FT who have too much experience with AS and can quote off rules and policies that are not every day experiences. Bottom line, ymmv. Glad it worked out in the end.
Surely the airline is not expecting their flyers to be paying for some random website to determine how they are going to be accommodated in case of a misconnect?
