$2000 MQD is a 2025 DM Choice Benefit option for DM status earned during 2024. For the 2024 DM Choice Benefit option, it is $1000 MQD. It's not "automatic" as you have to burn a Choice Benefit on it. If you already have more MQDs than you need, there is no reason to waste a selection on it.
