Been a mixture of E, E+ then back to E over the years
1. Easy to earn and maintain status if you fly TK a reasonable amount. Having automatic priority checkin counter and lounge access means a lot for me particularly when I fly short haul Y on non TK *A which is frequently.
2. FF IT has glitches but has improved.
3. TK staff understand and make things easier for E/E+ flyers. (A few have really gone out of their way).
4. Priority lanes for immigration counters when you are departing IST.
Things I Don’t like
1. TK seems to have quietly removed earning miles on effectively a lot of short haul Intra-Asia trips by *G partners in Y (eg TG and BR which I fly a lot).
2. Redeeming flights on *A partners can be a real hassle, particularly for last minute flyers like myself. Tried a few times and each time gave up.
3. Only one main lounge location in IST. Particularly if you’re flying out of the F gates at IST, it would be nice to have a mini lounge there.
4. TK IT still has confusing/misleading glitches. Eg you book a reward seat in TK aim C/J and the app tells you, you haven’t got lounge access when you actually do.
5. Abolished plastic FF cards and bag tags. These are actually useful when traveling in some less developed countries where airline customer service staff at airports/lounges like to see hard copies of FF cards. I keep my old one even though it has a now expired date.
