Honestly, I have given up on most loyalty things in luxury properties anyway. You're lucky if they remember your breakfast order correctly. Not sure that properties have really recovered from COVID in terms of staffing and until that happens, it's roulette even if you are at a very luxe place.
I stayed in London for a week this summer and everyone recognized me when I came in and out of the hotel and they all remembered my breakfast preference. So I think that level of service is still possible.
But I agree that loyalty program isn’t exactly the same as personalized service. It’s more of a reward or rebate program.
