Going to back to my original post.. When will they update these old cabins? DCA to SFO again this week and not only is the cabin still the old antique one, with the old seats, but its also still the 3 rows of first only.. Why on trancons/hawaii flights would they not have their best planes with most premium seating? Alaska could really make a dent in DC if they had more frequency and better planes.. I sometimes have the Dreamliner from United when I go IAD to SFO and United owns that route.. United only does 1 or 2 to DCA so opportunity for Alaska to make inroads with a better new plane..

DCA runway restriction. Only B738 can operate the route (ever since AS retired their A321neos). Same situation for SNA. Yeah both markets have more premium passengers but are stuck with B738s with 3 rows of F due to runway restriction. But with 7M8 entering service next February, those ones should be introduced to DCA/SNA routes eventually.
