I wish I could get my local takeout places to stop stuffing plastic cutlery and napkins in my bag even when I explicitly asked for “no napkins or forks” when placing the order. If I eat at home, I don’t need or want it. I built up quite a stash during the pandemic, and so I would actually be in favor of such a “nonsense” bill if there is no better way to stop businesses from wasting resources and creating unnecessary trash. You’d think the business owners would train their staff better… (they are all small independent restaurants, not national chains).
