On the subject of credit card (and I know this is largely anecdotal) but has anyone noticed a meaningful improvement in upgrades from holding the club card?

I'll be 1K next year assuming everything posts correctly, but I pretty much only fly on K (or occasionally L) fares so I'm shooting bottom of the barrel here, but I figure maybe one ancillary benefit of adding a Club card is to beat out all the other discount 1K flyers out there.
