Being Explorer is no different from any other status. Otherwise like people said, everyone would be silver at some point flying just once or twice a year because the points would cumulate indefinitely until he reached silver.

If your flying patterns are not frequent (or high paying) enough for you to retain silver, that's not really......frequent flying......and Flying Blue wouldn't reward you much.
