Removing minimum segments is very helpful for outstation-based passengers: here in Reno, a lot of my flights are on AA (no AS flights east or south), and a lot of my long haul EQMs are in premium cabins ex SFO.
Almost did not qualify for 75k despite being at about 90k EQMs.
Well, my travel starts and ends at a QX outstation and that means every trip is at least four segments. Reaching the segment requirement has never been a concern for me personally.
