Like others said, probably only the Canaries are the best best for sun and warmth. For the rest of the Continent, it's pretty dreary and rainy with few sunshine hours guaranteed, even in places like Portugal and Espagne. I think a lot people underestimate the latitude of Europe and the impact of the oceanic climate.
