Ok NEW DP:

Booked flight for 9/28/2024 with $950 (plus $20 cash) eCredits on 12/11/23. Waited until 12/14/23 and then cancelled flight. Got eCredits (plus cash as eCredit) back to account with new expiry date of 10/27/24. Success!!
